Well an update, Seems nobody makes a 64 bit driver for Windows 7. Apostila Alongamentos Pdf. I did figure out the make of the card. The hardware is TD and the software is SuperDVR.

I decided to make the machine dual boot to Windows XP for now and I installed it that way. The CD that came with the card had a bad version of the software, which took me about 10 uninstall and reinstalls to figure out. So finally I found a good copy of the SuperDVR software on the Q-See website. I emailed Q-See customer support and they said they don't have Windows 7 64 bit drivers yet. If anyone is going to make one, I'm guessing they will be first, they seem to be breaking out as big seller in the Security DVR market. A side note, I had a Q-See DVR for two years and it crapped out recently. I prefer having a Computer with a card because I'm capable of fixing more stuff in the computer and I can do more with this computer than I can with a proprietary DVR.

Well the dual boot worked, but I'm pissed that I never want to shut down my cameras to play with Windows 7. Today I decided to try WinXP 32 bit in VMWare and Sun Micro's Virtual Box. Neither did what I wanted it to do because they don't seem to find the additional slave physical drives that I need for all the video storage. Virtual box was slower performing than VMWare Viewer, but Virtual Box did show my video card in the device manager.

Unfortunately though, the DVR card would install. The only thing I haven't tried is Windows Virtual PC but I'm guessing it will be the same results, and I don't have Win7 Pro so not sure if I should pay to upgrade only to find that it is no better.
