John, I can report that the importer seems to work as advertised on my Macbook pro 2.7 GHz, 8 GB RAM (FCP 7.0, QT10.0) even though the minspecs from the release notes (below) the required FCP is 7.03 or better. It does not work on my imac 2.93 GHz 4GB RAM (FCP 7.03, QT 10.0) I have been reading multiple release notes and have found a few interesting passages. Note that my iMac is not listed on the release notes as a 'Tested Mac computer,' but your MacPro seems to be. Note this proviso as well: 'Even if the system requirements mentioned in these operating instructions are fulfilled, some systems cannot be used.' Lastly they offer this too: 'Operation is not guaranteed for software other than listed above.
