I forgot my instructors name, but he was really nice and did his best in trying to entertain and encourage the class to participate. Considering the class was on a Friday evening on a cold night. After the indoor class time we went outside to finally try out a shotgun. We first each took a turn holding the shotgun, getting familiar with the mechanics and dimensions of the shotgun, as well as proper posture, sight, momentum, and grasping. I really enjoyed the fact that the instructors went into detail with those things.
Many do not realize how important these things are. Even the slightest change in your stance can affect the way you shoot and whether or not you will hit/miss the target. The instructor was patient with everyone, he didn't rush anyone to shoot. Our instructor was accompanied by Susan who too, was very nice. She did try to encourage the class ask many questions.
She was very informative as the instructor. I recommend this range. I had no issues. Be forewarned, it is hard to find. At least for me because it was at night. There wasn't much lighting to the driveway leading to the range.

The instructors are very well educated, have a ton of experience and are patient. Shooting is not a sport for everyone, it's almost like an 'acquired taste' so to speak. So if you go to the range and find out it's not for you, they completely understand.
This range is typically very busy, very expensive, and very annoying. The facilities are clean and large enough, but this establishment is managed terribly, and very unprofessionally.
I believe if the owner drains the 'management swamp' this place would have great potential. This place definitely caters to first-time or very new shooters, which I'm okay with, because we all have to start somewhere, and that's fine. You just have to be aware of this before you show up. If you are someone who has been shooting a while, and are confident and competent with what you brought to the range, this place will piss you off. Short amount of trigger time, and large bill at the end, especially if you don't bring your own ammo and targets. I have left more satisfied with more cash in my pocket at the end of a session at any other range in San Diego. If you don't mind the trip to the desert and setting up your own range, that's definitely the way to go. I don't want to name names (rhymes with Susan) but the manager is very condescending, smug, and rude. Before I go any further, read her responses to customer's reviews on here and let HER words speak for themselves. You have to understand that as a business manager, and maintaining clientele, it's not always about being right.
You need to have some professionalism and keep in mind that people visiting your shop are the ones essentially writing your paycheck. Would you talk to your boss that way?
Let your power trip go, realize you're not always right, and keep it fun. That's what we all came here for anyway, right? At least in the beginning. Another thing to realize is that you never know who you're speaking to, which is why you should always remain professional and courteous and take the high ground. Obviously most of your clients are new shooters, but you will also have chiefs of police, military personnel and highly competitive shooters come in who are looking to show their friends or significant others a good time. I am not in this category, but consider this: these people have very high pull in the shooting community. If they don't have a good experience with you, there's a good chance their whole department/team will hear about it, and never shoot with you, in turn costing you tons of money.
