Dear Expert, After PPPoE connection to my ISP on window 7 with auto configuartion setting, I get internet connectivity that is okay and I can go to yahoo.com. And I tried know my IP address and default gateway by ipconfig/all command. I found the default gateway that is 0.0.0.0 Why? I would like to go default gateway 's login page or my ADSL(Model: NEC NTA 3110) router login page on broswer to try setting those IP by manually Anyone who have NTA 3110 manual, please send one copy for me.

COuld I have normal default gateway setting instead of 0.0.0.0? Why now I still connect to internet(yahoo.com) with 0.0.0.0 default gateway? Please advise Duncan.

You don't get a default gateway on the LAN adapter because the connection to the ISP is via PPPoE. That protocol doesn't need a gateway because it's not an IP-based protocol. The IP on your LAN adapter is purely to manage the ADSL router when it's in modem mode and bridging the PPPoE connection from the ISP. If you look at the status on your LAN NIC it should have an IP address similar to 192.168.1.2 You should be able to web-browse to 192.168.1.1 to get to the ADSL router.

I wouldn't say you'd need to do anything though if the internet connection works when you connect the PPPoE session. As already said in the prior thread by other Experts, a PPPoE connection is point-to-point. IP addresses (if needed), Gateways aso.

Are negotiated, but insignificant. Windows Server 2012 Iso With Key 32 Bit Torrent here. Download No Cd Crack For Settlers 6. What you see is what the ISP provides as info. By default PPPoE will 'route' (rather: stream) any traffic not specifically routed otherwise, but this depends on the PPPoE driver and mode.

If you set PPPoE up on your NTA (should you be able to do that, that is - don't know, cannot find a manual online), it will manage everything needed. You just have to set up your NTA as gateway. It is then not visible to you that the DSL connection uses PPPoE, and that is how nowadays DSL connections are managed - the router does all the work, your PC or other IP devices just throw there traffic to it. Thanks for clarifying the difference between an ADSL router and an ADSL modem. Both answers were 100% correct, clear and concise.

The fact that you do not understand the difference between a router and a modem does not help. Both Qlemo and I referred to the device as a router as YOU called the device a router in your opening post. In terms of 100% answer - you asked why you got 0.0.0.0 - I told you why, clearly and correctly. Your modem/router/gateway doesn't assign one via the LAN ports as the PPPoE connection between the ISP and your PC is bridged via the modem/router/gateway. I will follow the new thread.
